You can call me Jay. For personal reasons, I’m choosing to keep my anonymity on this blog and hope you can respect that.
I am a non-binary butch lesbian in my late twenties; my pronouns are they/them or it/its. At the moment, my career is primarily in the digital marketing space, but I am actively working on my first novel and hope that one day I can devote my life to writing fiction full-time.
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, and I’m especially interested and passionate about genre fiction, in particular the high fantasy and cyberpunk genres. Due to depression and burnout, I stopped writing for a while, but role-playing in various forms, from forum RP to table-top RPGs have helped keep me creative in some manner over the last few years.
Educationally speaking, I attended Columbia College Chicago and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Fiction Writing and a minor in Writing for Television in May of 2014.
This blog will cover a wide variety of topics from things I’m interested in like LGBTQ issues or video games to my thoughts and feelings while writing my novel, and maybe even some flash fiction here and there.
